How to take care of tulip flowers?
Tulips are often referred to as the dancing flowers. So, don’t be surprised to see your once straight and upright tulips leaning and drooping all over the vase after a couple of days or so. But fear not – your flowers are certainly not wilting. This effect is simply due to tulips growing after being cut and the large heads respond with their direction towards this light. Simply readjust the arrangement, or let them choose their own path and dance the night away. Your tulips from Flower Station will arrive with closed heads and buds just ready to open and as such they will be sure to last, but to make them last even longer here are a few handy tips. Remember, the tulip is a thirsty flower, so make sure it is given plenty of clean, cool, fresh water. Before placing the flowers in the vase make sure to cut the bottom of the stem at a steep angle and do not let the ends dry before putting them back into water. Any excess leaves should not be left in the water. As with most flowers, temperature is the key and flowers should, as much as possible, be kept away from any sources of heat. Cut flower food is not needed for tulips.
